Glitch – A glorified snitch
Peeb – Common citizens living under the oppressive government
Selmo Nithiw – The mysterious, unseen, almost mythical leader of the Peebs
This is pure dystopian! Edgy, raw, real.
Think of it as a combination of Orwell’s Big Brother and The Usual Suspects.
It’s 50 years in the future. It’s still America, just not an America that anyone will recognize.
The government’s evil reach chokes its citizens. So much that they, the people of the United States, have started a secret revolution. Their target? The tyrannical establishment that means to keep the people oppressed.
A small band of anti-government citizens fights in Minneapolis. Their unseen leader, Selmo Nithiw, has a part for each of them to play in the battle.
Their weapon of choice is not a gun, but computers and people. Hopefully, with scores of planted people, they can bring their government to its knees and regain the power.
Led by a misfit known as Trent, one group works feverishly to save the government’s latest nabbed Glitched citizen – Trent’s friend Lucy. Time is against them; they’ll have 12 hours to try and save her. If that’s what is truly best for all parties.
Will Lucy live? Will Trent and his gang be discovered? Will Selmo Nithiw show himself? Will America survive?

Author Bio:
Surviving the Michigan blackout of 2003, a tiny seed sprouted in author e a lake’s mind. A dystopian/post-apocalyptic dream some years later gave life to The Darkness and WWIV (World War 4).
lake puts his storytelling ability to paper. He creates tales for the post-apocalyptic world in his WWIV series with the likes of George Orwell as a mentor (they share a birth date and actual first name – not George) Even his mother finds these tales disturbing, compliment or not.
Born to average means in southern Wisconsin, in his younger days he spent a great deal of time in the outdoors with his father. Now, lake breaks out of his boring “day” mold (where he works as an accountant) to dare readers to enter the world of The Darkness, highlighting the struggles of the average person (men, women, and children) in a time no one ever hopes to see.
